Jared Beatty, CPA

Mr. Beatty is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin in December 2005 with a concentration in audit. He joined Ubernosky, Passmore & Majeres, LLP in June 2007 as a staff accountant.

Mr. Beatty’s experience includes auditing clients in oil & gas, retail, manufacturing, non-profit, and 401(k) plans. He is currently gaining experience preparing federal, state, and local tax returns, and financial statement compilations.

Yelenna Calderone

Yelenna Calderone has six years experience in administration and bookkeeping and is fluent in both Spanish and English. She joined Ubernosky, Passmore, Majeres, LLP in August 2006 as an administrative assistant. She is working towards her bachelors in International Business at the University of Houston Downtown. Her expected graduation date is May 2008.

  Candy Engle

Candy is a graduate of Sullivan Junior College of Business in Louisville, Kentucky.

In addition to supporting the firm’s professionals and helping to meet the firm’s own accounting needs, she performs bookkeeping and administrative services for our clients.

She has over 15 years experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and general office administration.  Proficient in both QuickBooks and Creative Solutions Accounting, she can efficiently meet the bookkeeping needs of small businesses and individuals.

She also has served as Assistant Treasurer for Harris County Judge Robert Eckels since 1992.

Candy has two sons, Michael and Steven, and lives in the Katy area.

Robert Ferreira, CPA

Robert is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.

Robert earned a Bachelor of Science degree from National American University – Sioux Falls, South Dakota December 1997, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a major in Managerial Accounting. He has 9 years experience in all areas of tax planning and tax return preparation for individuals, partnerships, corporations and non-profit organizations. Robert also has extensive experience in financial statement compilations and audits. He joined the firm in June 2007 as audit manager.

Robert is a member the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

S. Curtis Grantham

Curtis Grantham earned a Master of Professional Accountancy from Stephen F. Austin State University August, 2005.  Working full time while earning his degree, he has extensive experience in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns, and financial statement compilations.  He joined as the firm in 2005.

 Christine (Kiki) Russler, CPA        

Ms. Russler joined our firm in January 2007. She is a Certified Public Accountant

in the State of Texas since 1981. She received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Madison .

Ms. Russler has over twenty years experience in accounting and has worked both in

private industry and public accounting in a variety of capacities. The last ten years she has focused on tax compliance and planning for business and individuals.

Recently promoted to “empty-nester”, Ms. Russler spends her free time in East Texas managing her woodlot with her husband and dogs.

Matthew Smith

Matt earned his Master in Professional Accounting degree from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in Taxation immediately prior to joining the firm in August of 2006. He also has a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia where he graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce with concentrations in Accounting and Finance. 

Matt also interned with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Auditing at their McLean, VA office prior to joining the firm.

    REBECCA O. USNER

Rebecca Usner earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2003 with a concentration in taxation. She joined Ubernosky, Passmore & Majeres, LLP in July 2004 as a staff accountant.

Ms. Usner’s experience includes all tax return preparation for corporations, partnerships, individuals, estates and trusts. She has also attained experience in review and compilation services.

  ALBERT J. (AL) ZARZANA, CPA

Mr. Zarzana is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston. Mr. Zarzana is a Tax Manager with over twenty years experience in public accounting, including tax planning and compliance for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts. In addition, he provides consulting services to a variety of industries.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, including the Houston Chapter.
